Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in the Instant Pot and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 2.Add onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until onions are golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 4.Add the sprouted moth beans, water, and tamarind pulp. Close the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Release the pressure naturally and open the Instant Pot.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
