How to Make Instant Dahi Vada Recipe


Wash the two dals and soak in water for 4 hours.


Drain water from dal and blend the dal, grated ginger and green chillies with minimum water to make a smooth paste.


Add salt pepper, asafoetida, raisins to the grounded dal and beat the mixture. Put eno to the batter and mix.

Grease the idli moulds. Take a spoon of the batter and put in the idli mould. Flatten the mixture with wet hands into the shape of dahi vada. Steam the vadas for about 20 minutes. Take the idlis mould out and allow it to cool. Remove the vadas.

Immerse it in warm water for 1 minute and squeeze the extra water. Add salt, blacksalt and roasted cumin powder to the curd and mix it. Place 2 vadas on a plate, pour the curd, sweet chutney and coriander chutney.


Put some grated carrots and chopped onions. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and sev.
