 A mouth watering unique combination of Indrahar and kadi on top, also served to Lord Indra.Indrahar ki Kadhi is a main course vegetarian option that is made with the basic kadhi but instead of deep fried fritters with gram flour, 4 varieties of dals or lentils are soaked, ground, steamed and pan fried or deep fried and added to the hot and boiling kadhi.

Ingredients for Indrahar Kadhi Recipe

  • 50 gram Masoor dal,urad dal,moong dal,chana dal
  • 100 gram Gram flour
  • 500 gram Sour Curd
  • 100 gram Oil
  • As required Red chillies
  • As required Cumin seeds
  • As required Ground spices
  • As required Green chilli and coriander paste
  • As required Ginger and garlic paste

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak all pulses and grind them to make a paste.

  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add red chillies

step 3

  • STEP 3.Now add cumin seeds and then the paste of pulses onto the pan.

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add salt, ground spices and turmeric powder.

step 5

  • STEP 5.Then add the paste of green chilli,coriander,ginger and garlic.

  • STEP 6.Now pour the paste into an idli oven and steam it.

  • STEP 7.Cooking directions of kadi
  • STEP 8.Mix gram flour in sour curd. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds along with ginger and garlic paste.
  • STEP 9.Now put the paste into the pan and add two cups of water and stir well. Indrahar is ready by now take it out cut it into pieces.
  • STEP 10.Cooking directions of indrahar.
  • STEP 11.Heat oil in a pan with some amount of oil and place the cut pieces of indrahar. Fry the pieces of indrahar. Add coriander leaves to onto the frying pan.
  • STEP 12.Now pour kadi onto a plate and indrahar above it and sprinkle some coriander leaves for flavour.
