  • 5 gram shrimp paste
  • 2 stalks lemongrass
  • 4 Nos shallots
  • 3 Nos garlic cloves
  • 3 cm galangal
  • 2 Nos fresh chilli peppers
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 3 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 400 gram fish
  • 2 Nos calamansi
  • As required Banana leaves

How to Make Ikan Pari Bakar Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

Dry toast shrimp paste until fragrant. Grind lemongrass, shallots, garlic, galangal, chillies and turmeric powder. Add oil in a pan and heat it at medium flame. Add ground ingredients and saute it. Then add shrimp paste, tamarind juice, water and salt.

Now keep the paste aside and let it cool. Marinate fish with chilli paste and keep it for 30 minutes. Brush the banana leaf with some oil. Then place the marinated fish on the banana leaf and grill it. Squeeze some lime juice.
