Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • STEP 4.Add mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add soaked lentils and water. Pressure cook for about 4-5 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
  • STEP 7.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and check the consistency of the gravy. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
