Ingredients for Hot & Spicy Prawn Thokku Recipe

  • 300 gram Prawn
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Onions
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 15 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Green chilli
  • As required Few curry leaves
  • As required Few coriander leaves
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Fennel powder
  • 1.25 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • As required Little lemon juice

Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Crush around 15 garlic cloves, wash and clean the prawns and keep aside.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add fennel seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves and let them splutter.
  • STEP 2.Then add chopped onions and ½ tbsp salt, mix and cook for 5 mins.
  • STEP 3.Now add crushed garlic, chopped tomatoes, green chilli and cook for 3 mins.
  • STEP 4.Add the spices-1 tbsp red chilli powder,1 tsp turmeric powder,1 tbsp coriander powder and cook for 2 mins.
  • STEP 5.Now add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Next, add half a teaspoon salt and eggs and cook for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add-¼ tbsp fennel powder,1 ¼ tsp pepper powder, curry and coriander leaves.
  • STEP 8.Serve with a garnish of lemon juice.
