Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) are one of the most traditional dishes in Chinese cuisine and a must-have at everything from family dinners to banquet meals. But a dumpling wouldn't be a dumpling without the dipping sauce that goes with it. They simply require something tangy, sometimes spicy, to help cut through the rich savoriness of the dumpling filling.

Ingredients for Hot Dumplings Sauce Recipe

  • 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon black rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon papery dried shrimp
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon homemade chilli oil

  • STEP 1.Put soy sauce, vinegar, spring onion, papery dried shrimp, sesame oil and salt in the serving bowl.

  • STEP 1.Spoon in freshly boiled dumplings along with some water from the pot.

  • STEP 2.Add sesame seeds, coriander and chilli oil.
