  • 3 cup Peeled, drained, and chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped green bell pepper, about 1 large pepper
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped red bell pepper, about 1 large pepper
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped white or yellow onions, about 3 medium onions
  • 3/4 can Tomato paste
  • 0.13 cup Vegetable or canola oil
  • 0.06-0.13 cup Granulated or brown sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoon Salt, i use canning salt, see note for options
  • 1/2 tablespoon Finely minced garlic, about 6 cloves
  • 0.38 tablespoon Dried oregano
  • 0.38 tablespoon Dried basil
  • 0.38 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 Bay leaf
  • 0.13 cup Bottled lemon juice
