How to Make Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe

Into a saucepan and 6 tbsp room temperature salted butter and 1 cup white granulated sugar.

Melt the butter and the sugar and allow it to get a dark golden colour.

STEP 01

Once it turns deep golden brown and starts to bubble and smoke, turn off the heat.

STEP 01

Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream. Keep stirring until a smooth caramel consistency is reached. Add ½ tsp sea salt and 1 tsp vanilla extract and stir well.

This salted caramel sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks.
