Normally the pickle powder is bought from the store and we do the rest of process. Here is an easy and quick recipe for making homemade pickle spice powder.

Ingredients for Homemade Pickle Powder Recipe

  • 100 gram Whole red chilli
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 inch Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Dry ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Dry garlic
  • 1/2 Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Dry roast in a pan 100 gm dry red chilly. Dry roast 1 tsp of each of dry ginger and dry garlic. Dry roast 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds and ¼ inch asafoetida.
  • STEP 2.Grind to form a powder all roasted ingredients. Add ½ tsp of salt and sugar each into the powder and grind it once again.
