This Homemade Fresh Chilli Sauce is so easy to make, and so delicious, that it may just become a regular in your kitchen. Whip up this hot condiment in under an hour, and add some heat to any of your favourite dishes!

Ingredients for Homemade Hot Chilli Sauce Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for hot chilli oil
  • 85 flakes Chilli g
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Crushed Peanuts
  • As required Ingredients for seasoning the oil
  • 3/4 cup Peanut oil or vegetable oil or soybean oil
  • 2 No.s Star anise
  • 1 stick Cinnamon piece
  • 2 Garlic Cloves

Directions: Homemade Hot Chilli Sauce Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.-1)in a mixing bowl add 3 oz chilli flakes, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, ¼ cup crushed peanuts,

step 2

  • STEP 2.-2)in a small saucepan add ¾ cup peanut oil or vegetable oil or soybean oil. Add 2 star anise, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 cloves of garlic.

  • STEP 3.-3)fry on low heat for 3 to 5 minutes till the spices change colour. Turn off the heat and take the pieces out of the hot oil using a sieve.

  • STEP 4.-4)let the oil cool down slightly.

  • STEP 5.-5)while the oil is still hot, pour it slowly into the bow with the chilli flakes. Check that the flakes are not getting burnt. Pour the rest. The chilli flakes will sizzle when the oil is added. Stir carefully.

step 6

  • STEP 6.-6)let the chilli oil cool.

step 7

  • STEP 7.-7)transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for upto 6 months or at room temperature for 2 months.

  • STEP 8.-8)hot chilli oil can be used as a topping for noodles, sichuan pork etc..
