Ingredients for Chipotle Beef Jerky Recipe

  • 1/2 pound Lean Beef, Thinly Sliced
  • 0.13 cup Chipotle Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Directions: Chipotle Beef Jerky Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Start by slicing the beef into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl, combine chipotle sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • STEP 3.Place the beef strips in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • STEP 4.Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • STEP 5.Remove the beef strips from the marinade and pat them dry with paper towels. Arrange the strips on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they don't overlap.
  • STEP 6.Bake the beef strips in the preheated oven for 3-4 hours, or until they are dry and chewy. Flip the strips halfway through the cooking time.
  • STEP 7.Once the beef jerky is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
  • STEP 8.Store the chipotle beef jerky in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.

Cooking Tips

  • Choose lean cuts of beef, such as top round or eye of round, for the best results.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of chipotle sauce in the marinade.
  • To make the jerky even more tender, you can marinate the beef overnight.

Storage and Serving

  • Store the chipotle beef jerky in an airtight container or resealable bag to maintain its freshness.
  • Serve the jerky as a snack on its own, or use it as a topping for salads, sandwiches, or wraps.
  • You can also chop the jerky into smaller pieces and use it as a flavorful addition to soups, stews, or stir-fries.
