It's a popular gourmet sandwich that can probably be never made at home perfectly, but wait, there's a very easy way out. I did mine using a panini grill at home. Marinated chicken chunks are mounted on a large rotating skewer and then roasted slowly to perfection against a gas burning grill. Due to unavailability of such industrial roasters at homes, this has typically remained a restaurant dish. I am sure you all will love it. The basic concept in this recipe is to have a nice marination that mimics a good chicken shawarma flavour and then grill it in such a way that keeps it juicy. Happy cooking!!!!!!!.

  • 1-1.25 tablespoon Hung curd or Greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic finely minced
  • 1/4 tablespoon ginger finely minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Thyme
  • 1/2 tablespoon Paprika Powder
  • 1/2 pinch nutmeg powder
  • As required FOR ASSEMBLING... we need
  • 1/2-3/4 Grilled tomatoes
  • 1.75-2 Pita Bread
  • 0.13 cup garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup Pickled cucumbers
  • 0.06 cup Mayonnaise th
  • 1/2 cup French fries
  • 1/4 cup Lettuce leaves thinly cut
  • As required FOR THE PITA BREAD
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 tablespoon Yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Warm water
  • As required FOR THE PICKLED CUCUMBERS... we need
  • 1-1.25 cucumbers thinly cut
  • 0.13 cup White Vinegar
  • As required FOR THE garlic SAUCE...we need
  • 1/4 garlic bulb
  • 0.13 cup Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
