Ingredients for Home made Tomato sauce Recipe

  • 1/4 kg ripe red tomatoes
  • 0-1/4 nos Garlic Cloves (Chopped)
  • 1/4 nos medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or as per taste)
  • As required ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • As required ½ tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp Olive oil or refined oil

Directions: Home Made Tomato Sauce Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Prepare the Tomato Puree:Wash the tomatoes and make a small cross-cut on top.Boil them in hot water for 5-7 minutes, then peel off the skin.Blend into a smooth puree using a mixer.
  • STEP 2.2. Sauté the Aromatics:Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onions until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.3. Cook the Tomatoes:Add the tomato purée and cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 4.4. Enhance the Flavor:Add salt, sugar, vinegar, black pepper, and red chili powder.Simmer on low heat for about 20-25 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • STEP 5.5. Store Properly:Let the sauce cool completely.Transfer to a clean, dry, airtight glass jar and refrigerate.Stays fresh in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.For long-term storage, freeze it in airtight containers.
