Ingredients for Hokkien Mee Recipe
- 200 gram pork belly
- 6 Nos garlic cloves
- NaN As required White Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- As required Condiments
- 8 Shrimp Nos
- 6 White fish balls Nos
- 1 Nos small baby Chinese cabbage
- 250 gram thick Hokkien noodles
- As required Chu yau cha
- 2 tablespoon pork flavoured oil
- 4 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 3/4 cup chicken or pork stock
- 2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 2 tablespoon cold water

How to Make Hokkien Mee Recipe
STEP 01
Peel shrimp, deveined and remove tails and heads
STEP 02
Wash and cut baby chinese cabbage into 1cm strips
STEP 03
Halved the fish balls
STEP 04
Boil the noodles
STEP 05
Mix the corn flour in cold water and keep it aside
STEP 06
Mix the pork marinade with the pork belly and keep it for 30 mins.
STEP 07
1.add 2 tbsp of pork oil in a pan & heat until smoking
STEP 08
2.now add the marinated pork belly and fry briskly
STEP 09
3.after it is browned,add the shrimp,fish balls,garlic and fry for a minute.
STEP 10
4.add in the chinese cabbage and fry for another 30 secs,add noodles and give it a quick toss.
STEP 11
5.now add the dark soy sauce,light soy sauce and mix well.
STEP 12
6.then add the stock, sugar,white pepper and a small handful of chu yau cha
STEP 13
7.add the cornflour water mixture and toss until the sauce has thickened
STEP 14
8.now serve the noodles into the plate and spoon over the gravy onto it.
