Soy, ginger and sesame oil give our pilaf an asian twist. Chatelaine tip both salmon and rice can be refrigerated and served as an elegant cold lunch the following day.

  • 1/2 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
  • As required Topping of pickled ginger
  • 1/2-1 cup Chicken broth , or bouillon
  • 1/4 cup Frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/4 tablespoon Dark sesame oil
  • 1/4 tablespoon Soy or teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Bottled minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Bottled minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup 5 minute rice , or 2 cups converted long grain rice
