A delicious preparation of stir fry chicken and leek in hoisin sauce.Using store-bought hoisin sauce makes this chicken stir-fry easy and fast. You can substitute any quick-cooking vegetable, such as mushrooms, thinly sliced carrots, or broccoli florets. Round out the meal with Steamed White Rice.

Ingredients for Hoisin Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

  • 2 Chicken breasts thinly sliced along the breath Nos
  • 2 Leeks thinly sliced Nos
  • 1/2 Ginger finely chopped cm
  • 3 Garlic finely chopped cloves
  • bunch A Coriander chopped for garnish
  • 3 Spring onion sliced Nos
  • 3 tablespoon Hoisin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornflour
  • 10 milliliter Water
  • 20 milliliter Chicken Stock
  • As required Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Oil

Directions: Hoisin Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a wok heat 2 tbsp oil until smoking, add ½ cm finely chopped ginger and 3 finely chopped cloves of garlic and fry till aromatic.

  • STEP 2.2 add 2 thinly sliced chicken breasts and stir fry till chicken is cooked and changes colour.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 then add 2 thinly sliced leeks and stir fry for 2 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 add 2 tbsp hoisin sauce and mix to combine well with the other ingredients in the wok.

  • STEP 5.5 next add 20 ml chicken stock, salt to taste and continue to cook for another 2 minutes.

  • STEP 6.6 add cornflour mixture of ½ tsp cornflour mixed well with 10 ml of water.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 stir to combine with the gravy in the wok.ensure that no lumps are formed.

  • STEP 8.8 bring to a boil and then turn off the heat.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped coriander leaves..
