  • 300 gram Beef fillet
  • 3 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 5 gram Ginger
  • 5 No.s Spring onions
  • 1/2 No.s Red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Rice Wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon Light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cornflour
  • 1 No.s Egg white
  • 3 tablespoon Chicken stock or beef stock

Directions: Hoisin Beef Stir Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.in a mixing bowl add 300 gm beef fillet cut into thin slices, 1 tsp brown sugar, ½ tsp rice wine, ½ tsp light soy sauce, 1 egg white, 1 tsp corn flour and mix well. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 1. in a bowl add 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 2 tsp hoisin sauce, ½ tsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, ½ tsp coarse black pepper, 3 tsp beef or chicken stock and mix well to combine all the ingredients well.
  • STEP 2.in a wok heat 1 tsp oil in high heat, add the marinated beef and stir fry for 2 minutes. then 5 gm finely chopped ginger ,3 cloves finely chopped garlic, white part of 5 spring onions cut into 1 inch lengths and stir fry for a few seconds.
  • STEP 3.add ½ a sliced red pepper and stir fry for 1 minute. to this add the prepared sauce mixture and stir fry for 1 minute.
  • STEP 4.then add the green part of 5 spring onions cut into 1 inch pieces and stir fry for 10 seconds. Turn off the heat. transfer to a dish and serve hot.
