Ingredients for Himachal Kullu Trout Fish Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for marination
  • 1 Trout fish
  • 1 teaspoon Dry dill leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • As required Mustard oil
  • As required Salt
  • As required Ingredients for sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coarse mustard paste
  • 1 Onion thinly sliced Nos
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 Juice of lime

Directions: Himachal Kullu Trout Fish Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Wash and clean 1 trout fish. Cut two fillets from the trout.

  • STEP 1.1 cut two fillet from the trout.

  • STEP 2.2 apply 1 tsp dry dill leaves powder, 1 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, few drops of mustard oil, lime juice and salt. Rub the fish with the marinade.

  • STEP 3.3 place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to marinate.

  • STEP 4.4 preheat a pan and add 1/2 tsp oil. Allow the oil to get hot.

  • STEP 5.5 then add the fillets of marinated fish.

  • STEP 6.6 on medium heat fry the fish, turning them over frequently to ensure that they cook evenly and are cooked through. Allow them to cook for a few minutes.

  • STEP 7.7 remove from the pan and keep aside.

  • STEP 8.8 in the same pan add a few drops of oil, add 1 thinly sliced onion and ½ tsp coarsely ground mustard seed paste and salt to taste. Saute till the onions are translucent and the mustard paste is well mixed with the onions. When the onions are lightly browned, remove from the pan.

  • STEP 9.9 on a plate, place a slice of fried fish. Spread the onion sauce over it.

step 11

  • STEP 10.10 on top place chopped coriander. And squeeze lime juice.

step 12

  • STEP 11.11 kullu trout is ready.
