A classic chicken roast recipe which is easy to prepare with limited ingredients and at the same taste delicious and flavorful. This chicken roast is quick and makes a scrumptious dish. The chicken is juicy and tender with a burst of mixed herb flavor.

Ingredients for Herbed Roasted Chicken Leg With Veggies Recipe

  • 150 grams Chicken leg quarters
  • 3.50 Pieces arlic cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppercorn crushed
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • As Required Assorted Veggies

Directions: Herbed Roasted Chicken Leg With Veggies Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take the whole chicken leg and make slashes over it.
  • STEP 2.Crush 3 garlic cloves. Rub the crushed garlic and lemon juice over the chicken. Keep aside for sometime.
  • STEP 3.Now season the chicken and veggies with cracked peppercorns, chilly flakes, salt to taste and the herbs. (I used potatoes, carrots, purple cabbage, onion, tomato, whole chillies).
  • STEP 4.Preheat oven @200° C for 10 minutes with both rods on.
  • STEP 5.Take the baking tray and spread the melted butter.
  • STEP 6.Lay the chicken leg and spread the seasoned veggies around it.
  • STEP 7.Throw the whole garlic and some herbs over the chicken and roast them @200° C for 25-30 minutes flipping over the chicken in the mid way cooking.
  • STEP 8.Reduce the temperature to 180° and roast for about 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 9.Remive and enjoy hot.
