  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger, and garlic. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 3.Blend the mixture into a smooth puree. Strain the puree to remove any seeds or skin.
  • STEP 4.Heat the strained puree in a pan and add water. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
