Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak chana dal for 2 hours.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked dal until soft.
  • STEP 3.Heat ghee in a pan and add grated jaggery. Cook until it melts.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked dal, cardamom powder, and grated coconut. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with cashews and serve hot or cold.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the chana dal for at least 2 hours to ensure it cooks properly.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less jaggery according to your taste.
