- 1 cup chana dal
- 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 cup Jaggery
- 2 tablespoon Ghee
- As required Some raisins and cashews
- 1/4 cup fresh coconut

How to Make Hayagreeva Recipe
STEP 01
Wash and soak chana dal in water for one hour
STEP 02
Dry roast poppy seeds for 2 mins

Boil jaggery in one cup of water to make a syrup and strain jaggery water to remove impurities.
STEP 04
1.in a pressure cooker add 4 cup of water,chana dal and cook for 5 whistles.
STEP 05
2.drain the water from the pressure cooker and mash the chana dal
STEP 06
3.add ghee in a pan and roast raisins and cashews
STEP 07
4.in a kadai add 1 tbsp ghee,grated coconut and fry for 2 mins

Now add the jaggery syrup into it along with boiled chana dal,fried cashews and raisins.

7.cook for 5 mins at low flame and then turn off the flame and add poppy seeds and cardamom powder
