  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Green Chilies, Slit
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and fry the urad dal badi until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • STEP 2.In the same pan, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the green peas and water. Cover and cook until the peas are tender.
  • STEP 6.Add the fried urad dal badi and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
