Ingredients for Gulai Ayam Recipe

  • 1 Nos chicken
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom seeds
  • 10 Nos fresh red Thai chillies
  • 5 Nos candlenuts
  • 4 Nos garlic cloves
  • 3 Nos small asian shallots
  • 1/2 inch ginger piece peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 5 Nos kaffir lime leaves
  • 2 stick Nos cinnamon
  • 1 stalk Nos lemongrass trimmed and knotted
  • As required Kosher salt

Directions: Gulai Ayam Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Mash coriander,cumin,fennel,nutmeg, turmeric,cloves,cardamom,chillies, candlenuts,garlic, shallots,ginger with 2 tbsp of water in a good processor.

step 3

  • STEP 1.1.add oil in a skillet, heat it and add mashed spices,kaffir lime leaves, cinnamon and lemongrass and cook it for 5-7 mins.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Now add half the milk,½ cups water and stir it until it starts boiling, then add half the milk,½ cups water and stir it until it starts boiling.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Add remaining milk and salt and stir it,cook until it slightly thickens, serve hot with white rice
