Grilled Sirloin Tacos Recipe

Recipe By Southern Living

This steak is tender and deeply flavored with a simple blender marinade of onion, garlic, jalapeos, and beer. These beef tacos, created by san antonio chef johnny hernandez, are so simple to make and so flavorful, they will become your favorite new recipe for the grill. Hernandez marinates top sirloin steaks in a pureed mixture of white onions, garlic, chopped jalapeos, salt, black pepper, beer, and water for several hours. The blender marinade infuses the meat with flavor and also helps tenderize it. Hernandez grills the steak for a few minutes on both sides to medium-rare, then lets the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing to seal in the juices. The steak is sliced thinly and served on tortillas topped with cilantro and red onion, and lime wedges and salsa on the side. Start the meal with tortilla chips and homemade guacamole (and margaritas) for an easy yet impressive menu.
