  • 1 cup Cooked chickpeas
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 3/4 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 No.s Juice of lemon
  • 1/4 cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Water for blending
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 No.s Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1 No.s Capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup Grated paneer
  • 1/4 cup Chopped mint leaves
  • As required Grated Cheese
  • 2 No.s Bread slices

Directions: Grilled Humus Paneer Bhurji Sandwich Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a grinding jar of the mixer grinder add 1 cup cooked chickpeas (kabuli chana), 4 garlic cloves, ½ tsp cumin powder, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, juice of 1 lemon, ¼ cup Extra virgin olive oil and ½ cup water. Blend to make a smooth hummus.
  • STEP 2.In a preheated pan add 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 onion finely chopped, 1 capsicum finely chopped and saute till onions are soft.
  • STEP 3.Add 1 grated carrot and ¼ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp red chilli powder and saute for a few seconds.
  • STEP 4.Add ½ cup grated paneer and ¼ cup chopped mint leaves and stir to combine well.
  • STEP 5.Grease the grill pan by brushing the surface with butter.
  • STEP 6.Spread hummus on a slice of bread and then spoon paneer bhurji on to it. Top this with a generous spoon of grated cheese. Apply butter on the second slice of bread and use this to close the sandwich.
  • STEP 7.Grill and turn over till both sides of the sandwich are golden and crisp.
  • STEP 8.Cut in half and serve hot with sauce.
