Ingredients for Green Pav Bhaji Recipe

  • 3 Potatoes
  • 1 Capsicum
  • As required Spring onions
  • 2 green chilies
  • 6-7 green beans
  • 3 green tomatoes
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 3 inch Ginger
  • 2 bunch Spinach
  • 1/2 cup frozen green peas
  • 1 tablespoon Pav Bhaji masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kasoori Methi
  • As required Cooking Oil
  • As required Coriander leaves

Directions: Green Pav Bhaji Recipe

  • STEP 1.Chop the capsicum, spring onion( white portion), 2green chilies, 6-7 chopped green beans, 3green tomatoes

  • STEP 2.Roughly chop the green portions of spring onions.

  • STEP 3.Make a paste of ginger and garlic (around 1tbsp together)

step 4

  • STEP 4.Boil 3 potatoes, then peel off their skin and mash them.

  • STEP 5.In a saucepan add 500ml of water and let it come to shimmer. Then add 2 bunches (small) spinach and let it boil for 1min.

  • STEP 6.Once the spinach is cooked drain the water and put it in a mixer jar.

  • STEP 7.Let it cool and then grind it into a smooth puree.

    • STEP 8.In a kadai take 2tbsp cooking oil, add the chopped capsicum, spring onions,½ cup frozen green peas.

    • STEP 9.Mix it and roast them for a minute or so. Keep the flame high as we want the capsicum to get roast very well.

    • STEP 10.Then add 1tbsp ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chilies, green beans, green tomatoes, and one full cup of spring onions(green portion).

    • STEP 11.For binding add the mashed potatoes.

    • STEP 12.For the spices we have- 1tbsp pav bhaji masala, 1tsp red chili powder, salt to taste, 2tbsp butter, and ½ tsp kasoori methi.

    • STEP 13.Now we will mix all the ingredients and cook it for at least 8-10 mins. Cover it with the lid to fasten up the process. And keep stirring it now and then.

    • STEP 14.Now with a potato masher or any you have and start mashing the veggies.

    • STEP 15.Then add the spinach puree, squeeze one lemon juice, 3tbsp chopped coriander leaves, and 3tsp butter.

    • STEP 16.Now we will mix it and let it cook for 2mins.

    • STEP 17.If you want you can give it a last mash because we don’t want our veggies to be recognized.

    • STEP 18.If it is a little thick according to you, you can add water to adjust the consistency.

    • STEP 19.Mix it and take it out from the flame as our bhaji is ready.

    • STEP 20.Now for the pav let’s takes a tawa to add 1tsp butter and let it melt.

    • STEP 21.Then we will add a spoonful of the green bhaji(we just made) and mix it well with the butter for 10 secs.

    • STEP 22.Add the pav and let it roast from both sides sticking to the bhaji and butter.

    • STEP 23.So now our pav and bhaji both are ready.

    • STEP 24.Take it out, serve it on a plate, and enjoy your green pav bhaji.
