  • 1/4 cup Green Moong Beans
  • 0.06 cup Rice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green Chili Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sesame Seeds

Directions: Green Moong Dhokla Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak green moong beans and rice in water for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the soaked moong beans and rice into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger paste, green chili paste, salt, and sugar to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Grease a dhokla plate or a steamer tray with oil.
  • STEP 5.Pour the batter into the greased plate and steam for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • STEP 6.Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Cut the dhokla into squares or diamond shapes.
  • STEP 8.Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 9.Once the seeds start to splutter, pour the tempering over the dhokla.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with green chutney.

  • Make sure to soak the moong beans and rice for at least 4-5 hours to ensure a smooth batter.
  • You can add a pinch of turmeric powder to the batter for a vibrant color.
