A pulao made with mixed vegetables and whole green moong dal. The pulao can be made with multiple veegtables and here we choose moong dal beans along with some substituted vegetables. This pulao can be made with chhole, paneer and any other ingredient. With carrots and moong dal of color, texture and flavor this recipe offers good health. The assorted spices can be adjusted according to one's taste. This quick and easy pulao is a happy meal.

Ingredients for Green Moong Dal Pulao With Vegetables Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 4 No.s Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped
  • 1 No.s Onion Finely Chopped
  • 2 No.s Green cardamom
  • 2 stick Cinnamon inch
  • 2 No.s Green chillies
  • 2 No.s Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 No.s Carrots finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Green Beans
  • 1 cup Whole green moong dal soaked
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2.50 cup Water
  • As required Salt

Directions: Green Moong Dal Pulao With Vegetables Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak 1 cup whole green moong dal for 6 hours

step 2

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker add 1 tbsp oil, 1 inch ginger finely chopped, 4 cloves garlic finely chopped and 1 onion finely chopped. Stir for a few seconds.

  • STEP 1.Next add 2 green cardamom, 2 inch cinnamon ,2 green chillies, 2 tomatoes finely chopped, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 2 carrots finely chopped, ½ cup green beans cut small, 1 cup soaked whole green moong dal and 1 cup rice.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add salt to taste and 2 ½ cups water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles. Turn off the heat and allow pressure to release naturally. Pulao is ready.
