  • 1/4 cup Green Gram Lentils
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 0.63 En Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak green gram lentils in water for 4-5 hours, then drain and rinse.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked lentils into a smooth batter, adding a little water if needed.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, and spices to the batter.
  • STEP 4.Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai for frying.
  • STEP 6.Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 7.Remove the bhajiyas from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the lentils for at least 4-5 hours to ensure they are soft and easy to grind.
  • You can adjust the spiciness of the bhajiyas by adding more or less green chilies.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to the batter.
