  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 0.13 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 0.06 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Coriander Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the green chillies thoroughly.
  • STEP 2.Slit the chillies lengthwise, but keep them intact.
  • STEP 3.In a mixing bowl, combine the chillies with salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 5.Add the green chillies to the pan and sauté for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add vinegar, sugar, and the remaining spices. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Remove from heat and let the pickle cool completely.
  • STEP 8.Transfer the pickle to a sterilized jar and store it in a cool, dry place for at least a week before consuming.
