Greek salad or horiatiki salad is a popular salad in Greek cuisine generally made with pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, feta cheese, and olives and dressed with salt, pepper, Greek oregano, and olive oil. Common additions include green bell pepper slices or caper berries.

Ingredients for Greek Salad Recipe

  • As required A few romaine lettuce leaves
  • As required A few lollo rosso lettuce leaves
  • As required A few iceberg lettuce leaves
  • As required A few rocket lettuce leaves
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 large tomato
  • 3 spring onions
  • As required Salt
  • As required Freshly crushed black peppercorns
  • 2-3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 12-16 pickled black olives
  • 100 gram feta cheese

Directions: Greek Salad Recipe

  • STEP 1.Break the cucumber into 2 items, divide them vertically, take away seeds, take thick strips and roughly cut them into little cubes.
  • STEP 2.Roughly cut the tomatoes into little cubes.
  • STEP 3.Diagonally slice spring onions.
  • STEP 4.Roughly tear the lettuce leaves and place them into an oversized bowl.
  • STEP 5.Add tomato, cucumber and spring onions.
  • STEP 6.Add salt and crushed black peppercorns.
  • STEP 7.Add additional virgin oil and vinegar and blend gently.
  • STEP 8.Place the dish in a very serving bowl and place black olives on high.
  • STEP 9.Break feta cheese and place on high and serve straight off.
