Thin crust outside and pliable and gentle chewy inside. Very straight forward and simple to make. It is a traditional dessert with coconut being an integral part of the cuisine. It is excellent with both kids and adults in parties, picnics and all.

  • 3 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water

    • STEP 1.1 - add grated coconut, sugar and water to a pan.

    • STEP 2.2 - cook it at medium heat and stir continuously.

    • STEP 3.3 - cook until the sugar starts coating on the sides of the pan.

    • STEP 4.4 - turn off the flame and bring the pot down.

    step 6

    • STEP 5.5 - divide this mixture into 2 bowls.

    • STEP 6.6 - add red food colouring to one bowl and leave the other one.

    step 8

    • STEP 1.7 - layer it up and its ready to be served.
