Goru mettilu is a famous Andhra Snack. They can be made with the help of fingers and hands. Goru means pressing with fingers, and metillu is the dough.
STEP 1.In a mixing bowl add maida, rava, ghee and salt .
STEP 2.Mix everything and add water in small quantities to prepare a dough.
STEP 3.Now take a small amount of dough and prepare a shape of mettilu with your fingers by pressing and passing on the forward direction(moon shape).
STEP 4.Take a pot, heat oil for frying and add the moon shaped mettilu in the pot, fry them for 2-3 minutes then remove from the oil and place in a plate.
STEP 5.For sugar syrup in a pot add 50ml of water and 2 cups of sugar and let the sugar dissolve in the syrup completely.
STEP 6.Now drop the fried mettilu in the syrup and let it immerse for 1 minute.
STEP 7.Remove excess syrup and let mettilu rest for 5 minutes.
STEP 8.Serve on a plate and enjoy.
