Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and wash the gongura leaves thoroughly. Chop them finely.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are well coated with the masala.
  • STEP 6.Add the chopped gongura leaves and cook for a few minutes until they wilt.
  • STEP 7.Add water, cover the pan, and let the chicken cook on low heat until tender.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
