A rich cheesy preparation of eggs scrambled in butter with farmers cheese.Take scrambled eggs to a whole new level with this Bhutanese-inspired dish. Cheesy scrambled eggs are topped with chilli peppers, cheese, onion and tomato for the ultimate combination of ema datshi and gondo datshi.

Ingredients for Gondo Datshi/Bhutanese Egg And Cheese Recipe

  • 2 Unsalted butter chunks
  • 3 Eggs Nos
  • 250 gram Farmers cheese
  • 3 tablespoon Garlic sliced cloves
  • As required Salt
  • 1 flakes Chilli tsp or more

Directions: Gondo Datshi/bhutanese Egg And Cheese Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 into a mixing bowl, crack and whisk 3 eggs till frothy.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 in another mixing bowl crumble 250 gms farmers cheese.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 heat a nonstick pan and melt 250 gms of butter.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 once completely melted add 3 tbsp of sliced garlic cloves and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Adjust the flame as required from low to medium so that the butter and garlic do not burn.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 then add the whisked eggs and stir continuously. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 next add the crumbled cheese and mix well. Check for salt and add according to taste.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 add 1 tsp or more chilli flakes (optional) and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 once the butter separates from the eggs, the gondo datshi is ready.
