Ingredients for Golfeados Recipe

  • As required Dough
  • 2 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water, or as needed
  • 4 teaspoon tablespoon powder milk, or 1 cup of whole milk1 salt
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 550 gram Flour
  • 2 No.s Egg
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • As required Filling
  • 220 gram panela, shredded
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 220 gram salty white cheese such as Queso Blanco, Queso Anejo, Feta or Pecorino
  • 3 tablespoon anise or fennel seeds
  • As required Syrup
  • 220 gram Panela
  • 220 gram Water

Directions: Golfeados Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.mix all the dry dough ingredients in a bowl and the wet ones on a separate one.

step 2

  • STEP 1. gradually add the milk mix to the bowl and knead a firm dough.

step 3

  • STEP 1. keep it aside for 30-4- minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 1.roll the dough into a rectangular shape .

step 5

  • STEP 1. in a bowl take shredded panela, white cheese and fennel seed with some butter.

step 6

  • STEP 1. mix everything together.

step 7

  • STEP 1. brush some oil on the rolled dough and place the prepared filling on top

step 8

  • STEP 1.preheat the oven at 350 degree f.

step 9

  • STEP 1. bake the rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

step 10

  • STEP 1.once done take them out from the oven and allow them to cool.

step 11

  • STEP 1. in a bowl mix all the syrup ingredients together and put it on top of the golfeados.
