Ingredients for Goat Water Recipe

  • 3 pound goat meat
  • 5 medium irish potatoes
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 cup diced yellow yam
  • 1/2 cup diced eddoes
  • 5 chopped seasoning pepper
  • 1/4 small green pepper
  • 1 mini yellow sweet pepper
  • 3 Cloves
  • 10 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 maggi cube
  • 1/2 teaspoon gravy browning
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup green onion
  • As required small cluster of thyme

Directions: Goat Water Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash the meat with lemon and water, set aside
  • STEP 2.In a pan add oil to heat then sugar to brown
  • STEP 3.Add the meat and brown everywhere
  • STEP 4.Add all of the seasoning ingredients and spices to the pan.
  • STEP 5.Top with one Litre of water, wake a boil and simmer for approx two hours.
  • STEP 6.The goat water is toasted once the meat slips off the bone simply, once this dissolves the starch into 50ml of water then raises the pan.
  • STEP 7.This may thicken the sauce a touch.
  • STEP 8.Finally add the rum then serve with some contemporary bread.
