Directions: Goan Padwal Bhaji (snake Gourd) Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and peel the snake gourd, remove the seeds, and cut it into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add the snake gourd pieces and cook until they are tender.
  • STEP 5.In a blender, grind coconut, red chilies, turmeric powder, and tamarind to make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 6.Add the coconut paste to the cooked snake gourd and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
