Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine sattu, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, and spices.
  • STEP 2.Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into balls.
  • STEP 4.Flatten each ball and stuff it with the sattu filling. Seal the edges and shape it into a kachori.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a deep pan and deep-fry the kachoris until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with tamarind chutney and green chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to roast the sattu flour before using it for a better flavor.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less green chilies.
  • To make the kachoris extra crispy, you can add a little semolina (sooji) to the dough.
