Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 2.Once the seeds start to crackle, add chopped onions and saut��� until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped vegetables, broken wheat, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and water.
  • STEP 4.Close the pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles, or until the broken wheat and vegetables are cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Let the pressure release naturally before opening the cooker. Fluff the gavhale bhaat with a fork and serve hot.
