Gatte Ki Sabzi Recipe

A delicious rich gravy dish prepared from gram flour. a traditional rajasthani curry recipe made with besan sausages cooked in a spicy yogurt based gravy. the recipe is generally made without a tomato and onion based gravy with curd as its base for the dish. Hence it is also popularly known as rajasthani gatte ki kadhi recipe.

Ingredients for Gatte Ki Sabzi Recipe

  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ajwain
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1.50 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 3 teaspoon Curd
  • 2-3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 No.s Onion
  • 1.50 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 2-3 No.s Green chillies
  • 2 Tomato
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kasuri methi
  • As required Some cooking cream
  • As required Some coriander leaves

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a side line vessel add gram flour. Add salt, carrom seeds, turmeric, red chilli powder, curd and knead. Now add 2 tbsp water and oil. Now take a small portion of dough to make logs. Boil the logs in water. Cook the logs well for 10-12 minutes and hugh flame. Strain out the logs when they cooked. Now cut them into gatta's.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add oil in a pot & heat it. Add cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies. then tomato paste, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida powder. Mix and cover to cook. Add kasuri methi and garam masala after a minute and add gatta's and cook.
