Garri Fortor Recipe

A quick,easy Nigerian dish prepared from garri mixed with tomato stew. made out of Garri, Tomatoes, pepper, cray fish, tomato paste, salt, shrimp, garlic powder, curry powder, onion, olive oil and seasoning cubes to get the perfect blend of flavours.

Ingredients for Garri Fortor Recipe

  • 2 cup Garri
  • 6 Nos Tomatoes
  • 1 Nos Habanero Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Ground crayfish
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 Nos Red Bell Pepper Sliced
  • 1/2 Nos Green Bell Pepper Sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Curry Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Handful shrimps
  • 1 Nos Maggi Cube
  • 1 Nos Medium Onion
  • As required Olive Oil
  • As required Water

step 1

  • STEP 1.Add oil in a pot & heat it at medium flame and add sliced onions followed by garlic powder,curry powder. Saute it and ad in tomato paste and cook for 4 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Now add in blended tomato paste and pepper mixture, cover and cook for 10 minutes then add shrimps, maggi cubes,crayfish and salt

  • STEP 1.Mix all the ingredients well, cook for 5 minutes with the lid on and add the sliced red and green bell peppers. Stir it after 5 minutes and keep it aside, Take a bowl,add garri to it,some water and mix it.

  • STEP 1.Now add the 3-4 tbsp of sauce and mix it evenly with the garri and serve.
