Sev is one of the popular classic Indian snack in Jar Snack catagory. Basically sev is prepared with gram flour and further flavours and variations are there in it. Spinach gives this sev a delightful green colour along with taste and garlic, mint leaves and spices enhances it's flavour. This utterly delicious finger food is so addictive and perfect for tea snack, diwali snacks or any time munching.

Ingredients for Garlicky spinach sev Recipe

  • A Bunch Palak (Spinach Leaves)
  • 1/4 Cup mint leaves
  • 3/4 Pieces whole green chillies..cut
  • 2.50 Pieces garlic cloves..peeled
  • 1/4 Tbsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 Tbsp dry mango powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • 0.63 Cup gram flour
  • As Required Oil for frying
  • As Required Black salt for sprinkle

Directions: Garlicky Spinach Sev Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Remove stems of spinach leaves, wash and blanche them. Wash mint leaves. Make fine puree of blanched spinach, mint leaves and green chilllies.
  • STEP 2.2. Transfer this puree to a broad vessel, add gram flour, salt and spices and prepare a medium soft dough. Add flour or water if needed.
  • STEP 3.3. Grease extruder, place sev plate and fill prepared dough in it. In preheated oil, drop sev in circular shape through extruder.
  • STEP 4.4. Fry from both the sides on a medium high flame. Remove from oil and sprinkle black salt.
  • STEP 5.5. Once it cools completely, store it in air tight jar or container. Relish when you wish.
