I usually make this on sunday's when wanting to make a change in the daily menu. Aglio e olio is traditionally an italian pasta which we have adapted to indian style garlic pasta. Garlic spaghetti is a quintessential pasta dish you can make on any day in less than 30 minutes using just a handful ingredients that you probably have on hand It is packed with so much flavor, and it has amazing garlic flavor without being too overpowering. Aglio stands for garlic and olio is olive oil. The indian style veg garlic pasta doesn't require much efforts and not even an amatuer can go wrong with this recipe and its super quick to make. All you need to do is boil spaghetti, drain and keep aside. If keeping the boiled spaghetti for a long time, drizzle olive oil over it which wont allow the spaghetti to stick to each other. Further, heat butter and olive oil in a pan. Traditionally aglio-olio is cooked using olive oil and no butter is used. Once oil and butter have heated, we have added garlic which is the main ingredient to the spaghetti. Also, add chilli flakes and cook for a while and turn the flame off. Next, add spaghetti, basil, parsley and season with salt and pepper. Mix well using forks and our extremly scrumptious indian style garlic pasta is ready to be relished Tradionally, parmesan cheese is used to garnish aglio-olio but you can use processed cheese too. With vibrant notes of garlic and herbs, this spaghetti preparation is a rare experience to savour. Olive oil and butter give the garlic spaghetti (aglio e olio) a nice, moist coating with the elegant aroma of olive oil, while a splash of herbs and chilli flakes gives it a heart warming flavour.
