  • 1.10 C Cloves
  • 1/5 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/10 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/20 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 0.03 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/20 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/10 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/10 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/5 tablespoon Vinegar

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the green chillies and garlic cloves.
  • STEP 2.Slit the green chillies lengthwise and remove the seeds if desired.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 4.Add the slit green chillies and garlic cloves to the pan and sauté for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.In a separate bowl, mix together turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, and vinegar.
  • STEP 6.Add this mixture to the pan and cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 7.Remove from heat and let the pickle cool down completely.
  • STEP 8.Transfer the pickle to a clean, sterilized jar and store in a cool, dry place.
  • STEP 9.Allow the pickle to mature for at least a week before consuming.
