  • 350 gram Beef steak
  • 4 No.s Spring onions
  • 2 No.s Dried red chillies
  • 10 gram Ginger
  • 4 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 30 gram Dark brown sugar
  • 10 milliliter Dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 3 teaspoon Corn flour
  • 40 milliliter Cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground white pepper
  • As required Salt

Directions: Garlic Beef And Spring Onions Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a mixing bowl add 350 gm beef steak thinly sliced into strips, 1 tsp oil, 5 ml dark soy sauce, salt to taste, ½ tsp ground white pepper, 2 tsp cornflour and mix well to coat the beef. Leave to marinate for 1 hour.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 in a small bowl combine 1 tsp cornflour with 40 ml water to make a smooth paste. Keep aside.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 in a wok heat 3 tbsp oil over high heat, add the strips of beef, arranged as a single layer and fry for 20 seconds on each side. Then remove and drain the beef.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 reduce the oil in the hot wok to 1 tbsp and add 10 gm finely chopped ginger, 2 finely chopped red chillies and stir fry for 15 seconds.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 next add 4 cloves finely chopped garlic and stir. Add 5 ml dark soy sauce, salt to taste, and 100 ml boiling water.

  • STEP 6.6 add 30 gm brown sugar and stir to dissolve the sugar.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 add the prepared corn flour and water mixture, stir and bring to a boil.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 return the fried beef to the wok and stir to evenly coat the beef.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 add 4 spring onions cut into 1 inch pieces and stir together.

step 10

  • STEP 10.10 transfer to a dish and serve.
