  • 166.67 g Chicken with bone (curry cut)
  • 0.33 Pieces Big onion
  • As Required Ginger
  • 2 Pieces Garlic cloves
  • 0.33 Tsp Black pepper corn
  • 1.67 Tsp Curd
  • As Required Ghee
  • 0.67 Tsp Refined oil
  • As Required Jaggery
  • To Taste Salt
  • 0.33 Pieces Kaffir lime(cut into 4 pieces)
  • As Required For Ganishing Kaffir lime slices
  • As Required Kaffir lime zest
  • As Required Kaffir lime juice
  • 1.33 Pieces Kaffir lime leaves
  • 0.33 Tsp Homemade special chicken masala
  • 0.67 Pieces Green chilli
  • A Pinch Turmeric powder

Directions: Gandharaj chicken (kaffir lime chicken) #ChickenRecipes #FEM5K

  • STEP 1.Homemade special chicken masala :-1tablespoon coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 inch cinnamon, 2 Cardamom, 6 cloves,1 star anise,2 strands mace, little nutmeg (dry roast all ingredients and grind) make a fine powder.
  • STEP 2.Masala paste:-in a grinder add onion, half inch ginger, garlic, green chilli, black pepper corn and make a fine paste.
  • STEP 3.Marinate chicken :-In a mixing bowl add chicken, half teaspoon kaffir lime juice,pinch of turmeric, 1 teaspoon curd. Mix all ingredients nicely and rest it for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 4.In a pressure cooker add refined oil and half teaspoon ghee, add chicken pieces and fry for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat.
  • STEP 5.Add masala paste and mix all ingredients nicely and cook until oil separate from masala.
  • STEP 6.Now add special chicken masala powder, mix and cook for few seconds
  • STEP 7.After add curd and half teaspoon jaggery. Mix nicely and cook for 5 minutes on high heat.
  • STEP 8.Add 1 and half glass warm water, salt. Mix and pressure cook(2 whistles)
  • STEP 9.After pressure cook leave as much gravy as needed and let the rest dry.
  • STEP 10.Turn off flame, add lime pieces (4 pieces), juice(half teaspoon), zest(half teaspoon) and leaves. Cover the pressure cooker with lid and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 11.Gandharaj chicken Garnish with sliced lime.Serve hot with steamed rice.
