  • 2 fish
  • 2 tablespoon cumin paste
  • 2 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 Onions
  • 7-8 green chili
  • As required Turmeric powder
  • As required Salt
  • 250 gram Chickpea dal
  • As required Red chili powder
  • As required Mustard oil

Directions: Fish With Chickpea Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Start by brushing off the shell from the fish, them cutting them into small pieces, and wash it thoroughly with lukewarm water

  • STEP 2.Coat the pieces of the fish with ½ tbsp turmeric and salt to taste. Mix them and let it set for 10 mins.

  • STEP 3.Meanwhile, chop the onions and slice the green chili from the middle. Make a paste of cumin seed and garlic.

  • STEP 4.Soak the chickpea in water for 30mins. Later drain the water and let it dry.

  • STEP 5.After 10 mins, heat the kadai pour oil and fry the fish evenly from all sides.

  • STEP 6.Take the kadai and add the soaked chickpea dal, chopped onion, sliced green chili, garlic paste, cumin paste, 1tbsp turmeric powder, and 1 ½ tbsp chili, and 8-10tbsp mustard oil.

  • STEP 7.And mix all the ingredients with each other thoroughly.

  • STEP 8.Now place the kadai in the stove and add 3-4 cups of water.

  • STEP 9.Stir it and now add 4 bay leaf, 5 cinnamon stick, and 5 green cardamoms.

  • STEP 10.Give it the right mix and cover it for 25-30mins, give it a stir occasionally.

  • STEP 11.Add some more water and let the fried fish hop in.

step 12

  • STEP 12.And cover it for more 10mins.

step 13

  • STEP 13.Turn off the gas and your chana dal is ready.

step 14

  • STEP 14.Serve it with steamed rice.
